The S8 runs from Grünau through the southeast (Adlershof, Schöneweide), over the Ostring and continues on the northern Berlin outer ring through Oberhavel County to Birkenwerder. During peak times, it begins and ends in Wildau from Monday to Friday.
The line runs every 20 minutes and every hour from about 9:30 p.m. from Blankenburg to Birkenwerder. Trains depart every 30 minutes between Grünau and Pankow through the night on Friday and Saturday.
