The S8 runs from Grünau through the southeast (Adlershof, Schöneweide), over the Ostring and continues on the northern Berlin outer ring through Oberhavel County to Birkenwerder. During peak times, it begins and ends in Zeuthen from Monday to Friday.
The line runs every 20 minutes and every hour from about 9:30 p.m. from Blankenburg to Birkenwerder.
Trains depart every 30 minutes between Grünau and Pankow through the night on Friday and Saturday.

In Blankenburg a platform change is necessary for both directions. The journey continues out of the city after about 15 minutes from the opposite platform or into the city after 17 minutes from the same platform. Alternative travel options exist in direction city after 7 - 10 minutes with the other line.

(only the trains Blankenburg on the minute 45) Blankenburg to Pankow approx. 4 minutes earlier and have a stay in Pankow from approx. 4 minutes.
Passengers please use between Bornholmer Straße, Hohen Neuendorf and Birkenwerder the line S1.
