The discounted Germany Ticket Job (Deutschlandticket Job) for employees is only available through the employer if the employer pays at least €14.50 (= 25%) per month as a subsidy towards the ticket costs. With a public transport discount of 2.90 euros (= 5%), the Germany Ticket Job is available at a price of 55.10 euros. For employees, the remaining deductible to be paid is 40.60 euros. If your employer pays a higher amount as a subsidy towards your travel costs, your deductible will of course also be reduced and you will pay even less.
The Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants are valid throughout Germany in 2nd travel class and other means of public transport (Regio, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, bus, streetcar, etc.) within the area of validity of the tariffs of the participating transport companies, transit authorities and national tariff companies.
This includes areas of validity abroad, insofar as the respective association's/company's own fare zone extends to the area abroad on the basis of a corresponding agreement.
The Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants are not valid on means of transport that are operated primarily for tourist or historical purposes.
The use of long-distance trains with the Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants is generally excluded.
The Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants only entitle the holder to use 2nd travel class. A transfer to 1st travel class is possible within the areas of validity of transit authorities, regional fares and the Deutschlandtarif in accordance with the respective fare regulations.
Contract period & termination
The Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants are issued as a subscription. Each first of the month can be the starting point of your subscription.
The subscription is concluded for an indefinite period and can be canceled monthly. Cancellation must be made by the 10th of the month to the end of the respective calendar month. In the event of a subscription termination, the Germany Ticket and its job ticket and semester ticket variants are valid until close of business after the end of the last day of that calendar month, but no later than 3.00 a.m. on the following day.
Anyone who wants to transport a bicycle must buy a bicycle ticket that matches their ticket type.

The tariff area of the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) includes the federal state of Berlin and the state of Brandenburg with its administrative districts and independent cities of Brandenburg, Cottbus, Frankfurt (Oder) and Potsdam.
Berlin and the surrounding regions are divided into fare zones a, b and c gegliedert.
Fare zone Berlin a includes the city center of Berlin, including the S-Bahn-Ring.
Fare zone Berlin b begins outside the S-Bahn ring and reaches to the city limits.
Fare zone Berlin c includes both the outskirts of Berlin and the city of Potsdam.
