What is the Germany Ticket Subsidy for Vocational Training?
The Germany Ticket Subsidy for Vocational Training is a discounted subscription-based Germany Ticket for
- Apprentices in full-time school-based training and
- Participants in the Federal Volunteer Service or a voluntary social or environmental year.
In the state of Berlin, in addition to the above-mentioned eligible groups, the following may also
- Candidates for civil service positions in the lower and middle ranks are encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
The states of Berlin and Brandenburg cover a portion of the costs, thereby reducing the out-of-pocket expense.
- It can be used nationwide on all local public transportation (2nd class) as a Germany Ticket.
- You can purchase the subscription as long as you have proof of eligibility. Payment is made monthly via direct debit.
Advance ticket sales for Berlin began on June 1, 2026, with tickets valid starting July 1, 2026.
In Brandenburg, the subscription can be ordered starting July 1, 2026, with a start date of August 1, 2026.
