Information
  • No stop at Hirschgarten when travelling out of town:
    • Until summer 2026, the S3 S-Bahn line will not stop at Hirschgarten in the direction of Friedrichshagen/Erkner.
      Passengers wishing to alight at Hirschgarten: Please travel to Friedrichshagen, change there to a train runing in the opposite direction and travel back to Hirschgarten.  
      Passengers wishing to travel towards Friedrichshagen/Erkner (out of town): Please travel in the opposite direction to Köpenick and change to the opposite platform.
    • During the construction work, the S3 express trains will also stop at Hirschgarten when travelling into the city.
    • Individual journeys at the beginning and end of the day still stop at Hirschgarten (stop on the opposite side of the platform).
  • Travel alternatives:
    • Alternatively, tram lines 60 and 61 or night bus N65 can be used with a change from/to the S3 in S Friedrichshagen.
  • Please use the timetable information before starting your journey.

Train service

  • Line alignement:
    • S3 runs ...
      Erkner <> Spandau;
      10-minutes interval: Erkner/Friedrichshagen <> Ostbahnhof/Charlottenburg
    • During the construction work, the S3 express trains will also stop at Hirschgarten when travelling into the city.
  • Passengers wishing to alight at Hirschgarten on their way out of town
    are requested to continue to Friedrichshagen, where they can change to a train travelling in the opposite direction and return to Hirschgarten.  
  • Passengers wishing to board the train towards Erkner in Hirschgarten
    must first travel in the opposite direction to Köpenick and then change to the opposite platform towards the city centre.
  • Trains travelling into the city towards Ostbahnhof/Charlottenburg/Spandau are not affected.
  • Tariff information:
    • Short trip ticket (also 4-trip ticket)
      • with destination Hirschgarten S-Bahn station entitle you to travel from Karlshorst S-Bahn station via Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station  .
      • travelling from Hirschgarten S-Bahn station entitles you to travel to Wilhelmshagen S-Bahn station via Köpenick S-Bahn station.
    • Single trip ticket (also 4-trip ticket)
      • entitles you to travel towards Köpenick S-Bahn station to Hirschgarten S-Bahn station for the detour via Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station.
      • entitles you to travel from Hirschgarten S-Bahn station towards Erkner S-Bahn station via Köpenick S-Bahn station.
